Q: What’s your favorite hobby?
A: Spending time with my boys and wife, such as playing games like chess, checkers, connect four, cards, and outside activities like fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, throwing a ball at the park, and inside activities like watching movies together or eating together at home or out, or shopping with them.
Q: Where did you go to college?
A: Penn State University
Q: What do you enjoy about teaching math?
A: Love for both subject and students. I have a relationship with Christ which I can share with students while teaching math.
Q: What brought you to GCCS?
A: God used the death of my grandfather-in-law to bring us from the beaches of North Carolina back to Columbus, Ohio to help my grandmother-in-law with her Cake Crafters store. My wife has helped her grandmother at the store for the last seven years, while I have been teaching math here.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your family?
A: I have five boys: Jordan, 18 years old who graduated from GCCS last year, Matt, 16 years old, Ben, 14 years old, Owen, 7 years old who’s attending first grade at GCCS, and Landen, 2 years old who is not old enough to attend GCCS yet. We are expecting a little girl this summer on July 16th.
Q: Where is your favorite place to be?
A: My favorite place is with my family at the beach, and a close second is hiking places like Hocking Hills State Park.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do?
A: Play games or be outside with my family.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: Steak, German Chocolate Cake, baked potato with sour cream, sweet tea, and homemade rolls.
Q: If you weren’t teaching, what would be your job?
A: I do not know what I would be doing if I wasn’t teaching, but I am willing to do anything the Lord would have me do, for now that has been teaching high school math for the last 21 years.
