Eagles Snap Losing Streak to FCA in Big League Win

Trenton Timlin, Writer

Last night, the Eagles were victorious over Fairfield Christian for the first time in 10 years. With this win, the Eagles are now 6-2 overall, and are 4-0 in league play. The win also keeps us tied in 1st place in the league with Fisher Catholic. It was a close match the whole night as the Eagles would win a close 5th set 16-14. The Eagles were down 14-12, but Kristen Phillips would serve the next 4 points to give the Eagles the win. The Eagles were led by Bryanna Trout with 13 kills and 6 blocks, Sienna Brunicaedi with 33 assists, 23 service points, and 12 digs, and Carissa Hunt with 11 kills and 20 digs. Coach Bradford was willing to give us a quote and he said,

“It was a great team win for us. We faced some adversity throughout the night and we were able to overcome that adversity. It had been several years since we’ve beaten FCA so it was a great night.”

Congrats Eagles and keep up the good work!
