Fans filling the stands to start off this fall sports season.

This year the Eagles at Grove City Christian are anxious to start their new 2017-18 fall season sports. After speaking to multiple students, they have all predicted the season will end well as they are all off to a good start.  “We have a lot of potential this year and I believe we will go far and have a winning season,” said Gidgyt, a junior on the varsity volleyball squad. The volleyball team is currently 5-2. Their next game is on Tuesday, September 12 at home.  The Varsity Volleyball team consists of only 2 seniors, Jessalyn and Savannah. We expect a good season out of them this year.

The Eagles football team consists of 28 players and 5 seniors; Ian ,Clement, Blake, Kent, and QB.  The Eagles are currently 0-2. Zion, a junior on the football team said, “We’ve got a lot of work to do this season, but we have potential to have great year.” The Eagles next game is away on Friday, September 15 at Berne Union. This year we predict them to win 30% of their games.

The GCC Varsity soccer team record is now 4-0-1.  Jewels, a sophomore on the soccer team says, “We have a lot of potential but we need to play to our strength. We have to want to win, and we need to strive for excellence.” We have high hopes for the soccer team as they are partially through their season. The seniors this year are Riley, James, Zach, Issac, and Trent. The next game for the Eagles will be Monday, September 11 at home at 7 against Wellington.
