On December 13, 2017 the Grove City Christian high school student council presented a check to The James Cancer Hospital. The donation was made on behalf of Mr. Mark Roys, the husband of a former Grove City Christian teacher. Mark Roys was diagnosed with brain cancer and the student council hopes that the generous donation of $650.00 will aid in the research of finding a cure for his type of cancer. The money was raised by all high school students and teachers at Grove City Christian. Students received a dress down day if they brought in at least $1.00 for the cause. On December 13, the senior students on the council held a small ceremony at the school where a proclamation about the check was made and then presented to a representative from The James. We were very thankful that Mr. and Mrs. Roys were able to be present at the time the check was presented and we only wish him the best in his journey and future recovery!
