Big Ten Bowl Game Summary

The first Big Ten team to play in a bowl game was Minnesota. They played against Georgia Tech in the Quick Lane Bowl. Minnesota won the game 34 to 10. The next next team to play was Wisconsin. They played against Miami Florida in the Pinstripe bowl. Wisconsin won the game 35 to 3. The next game to be played was the Music City bowl that hosted Auburn and Purdue. Purdue lost the game 63 to 14. The next Big Ten team to play was Michigan and Florida in the Peach Bowl Michigan. Michigan lost 41 to 15. Then, Michigan State played against Oregon in the Red Box Bowl. Michigan State lost by 1 point 7 to 6. Next, Northwestern played against Utah in the Holiday Bowl. Northwestern won the game 31 to 20. Next to play, was Ohio State and Washington in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State won 28 to 23. Next to play was Iowa and Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day. Iowa won 27 to 22. The final team to play was Penn State and Kentucky. Penn State lost 27 to 24. The Big Ten won 5 and lost 4 games.
