Warriors Blow 24 Point Lead

On January 6th, 2017 Friday night the Golden State Warriors were seen as a favorite against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors got off to a fast lead against the Grizzlies that grew to a staggering 24 point lead at the start of the 4th quarter. The Grizzlies however were not rattled by the score and played a fundamental 4th quarter filled with textbook defense that held the Warriors scoreless in the first 9 minutes of the 4th quarter. The Grizzlies outscored the Warriors 32-13 in the 4th quarter lead by Mike Conley who had a total of 27 points and a game tying jumper with 7.4 seconds to force overtime where the Grizzlies took advantage of the opportunity to run all over the Warriors in overtime as they would go on to win 128-119. The Warriors who were a league favorite after signing Kevin Durant in the offseason are now (0-5) against the other powerhouse teams in the league (Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs) showing that Warriors have not and cannot handle the pressure of marquee games and have yet to establish that they can win a major game against any other powerhouse team in the NBA
